swedish gentleman

i hope the swedish man i met on the bus this evening is enjoying his time in seattle. he came to washington to hike the olympic national park. it was his first night in the city after spending a week away from human contact (attracted immediately by thist fact), and as we were getting off at the last stop the bus driver told him that i new which bus would take him downtown (i commute, the driver must have recognized me). so, we spoke for a while. he was kind, and interesting. i was even tempted to be his personal tour guide, but decided it would be mildly inappropriate... although, i have a pang of regret not taking him around...

and then i was left with these tow nagging thoughts:

1) probability of seeing him: never

2) and encounters like these make me mull over the workings of time and timing.

in conclusion: i have set my sights on traveling. not a nomadic adventure set into full speed in order to cover as much of the world as possible in between rote life responsibilites, but in the style of a sedentary visit. it's all about absorbtion, becoming a sponge... and, i am ready to become a sponge again becuase i have long been squeezed dry since Galway.

am i making sense?

bear with me, (or not), i've had a long day.
